Arcadia Water Company (AWC) is an Arizona non-profit corporation, incorporated in 1919 to furnish irrigation water to only its members. Owners of land in the Arcadia Water district own the rights to the water conditioned on the payments of AWC's membership fee of $100, and any charges incurred for water, delivery service or repair, and subject to AWC's rules and regulations governing service and suspension thereof.
AWC employs an Operations Manager to oversee it's operations, and to report to the Board of Directors and an Irrigation Coordinator to regulate AWC irrigation services.
AWC owns the wells, a pumping plant, reservoir. main distribution lines and main diversion boxes. The trunk lines run from the reservoir under AWC's parking lot, west along Camelback Rd. and Exeter Blvd. AWC also owns a number of lateral pipelines connecting major diversion boxes. The system is operated and maintained by the Company. All sub-distribution systems which convey water from the AWC system to its members' land, such as those within particular subdivisions, are owned and maintained by the relevant members or their homeowner's association.

Arcadia Water Company is managed by an elected, 11 person Board of Directors; 3 Board positions cycle annually and are reevaluated at the "annual meeting" held the third Tuesday of each April.
